Super Duper joke

Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new Chairman forMicrosoft Europe. 5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate Is Raghu , an Indian guy.

Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asking those who doNot know JAVA programs to leave.2000 people leave the room.
Raghu says to Himself, "I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I'llGive it a try"

Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing more Than 100 people to leave. 2000 people leave the room.
Raghu says to himself "I never managed anybody by myself but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me?" So he stays.

Then Bill Gates asked candidates who do not have management diplomas toleave. 500 people leave the room.
Raghu says to himself , "I left school at 15 but what have I got to lose?" So he stays in the room.

Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Serbian - Croat toleave. 498 people leave the room. Raghu says to himself, " I do not speak one word of Serbian - Croat but whatdo I have to lose?" So he stays and finds himself with one other candidate. Everyone else has gone.

Bill Gates joined them and said "Apparently you are the only two candidates Who speak Serbo - Croat, so I'd now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language.

"Calmly, Raghu turns to the other candidate and says "En guru, aarama?"
The other candidate answers "Nann magane, Sooryange Torcha??"

Is a Foreign degree worth the trouble?

India and China send the most students abroad, with no other nation near these two global giants. Universities in the US, UK, Australia, Canada , Germany and New Zealand are all making serious efforts to recruit even more Indian talent. What do you make of this trend? Is it a positive sign? Is it good for India's future? What about the infamous brain drain? Does studying abroad contribute to the loss of Indian talent? How do you feel about it at a personal level? Between exorbitant osts, separation from family and the effects of culture shock, is obtaining a foreign degree a worthwhile pursuit?
I feel one should experience the college life abroad as it is totally different from Indian colleges and university. One becomes more independent and takes responsibility about his/her work at home and in school too. Here in India our children are spoilt as all the work at home is done by maids and so when they go to America they take charge and become more responsible and do their own Laundry and dishes and keep the room clean. I didnt do any work in India but when i went to Japan I had to take the challenge and responsibility and it changed me as a person. I was not lazy anymore and became more active and started planning my life too.

Watch your wrist! Funky time keepers

For some, a watch is merely a means of telling time, for others it is a status symbol, and for a few it is a truly prized possession. Whatever your take on watches, you're sure to find one that appeals to you -- they come in a range of sizes, shapes, and prices. So how do you go about picking up one that suits your purpose?
How to choose a watch: You need to be clear about why you're buying a watch, in the first place -- do you want to wear it casually, to the office, on social outings, or on formal occasions? Once your purpose is clear -- casual, corporate, formal, or party wear -- the vast ranges available will still be sufficient to make your choice difficult! These days, it's primarily the brand of a watch that dictates its market standing.
1. For work: Steel-rimmed, round-dial watches look best on men in the office, while women can go for rectangular or square dials with silver/ steel or leather straps.
2. For casual wear: Leather and other fabrics add a casual touch to your time-keeper. Unisex watches are especially 'in' these days.
3. The 'sporty' look: If you're a sporty, outdoors kind of person, you may want to spring for a watch that features a timer, and is both water- and shock-resistant. These hardy time pieces are also resistant to sweat and moisture.
4. Party/ formal: bracelet type watches on women to something jazzy in steel look good on men.
As far as trends go at the moment, gold and gold-plated watches are not very much in demand, as compared to steel and sporty-looking pieces. However, it's mainly the watches which sport big brand-names like Tag Heuer and Swatch, that people go in for."
The youth is becoming so brand-conscious, even grey-market pieces that are not purchased from authentic retail outlets, and cheap imitations of expensive makes will do for them. Just so long as your watch is branded, that's all that matters
